International Gastronomic Tourism Congress, which is one of the most important organisations in Turkey in the field of Gastronomic Tourism, will be held between December of 5th and 7th, 2019 for the 5th time with the partnership of TÜRSAB and İZFAŞ in fuarizmir. The congress, organising with the aim of gathering the leaders of gastronomy and tourism experts and educators, discussing the new approaches, trends that are helpful to improve the tourism industry, has hosted Lisbon city - member of Delice Network, as a guest city in 2018.
The congress, consists of academic sessions, panel sessions with the key speakers of the industry, workshops of domestic and foreign well-known chefs’, professional tasting workshops, tastings of the food brands and restaurants on their stands, hosted the world famous food competition Bocused’Or representatives last year. In the congress with the aim of bringing the festival and congress under one roof, where the contribution of the gastronomic to the tourism of the region will be discussed, academic reports of congress are managed by Dokuz Eylul University, İzmir Katip Çelebi University, İzmir University of Economics and Yaşar University. The congress is at international level in terms of both speakers and attended countries and cities. The Congress is supported by İzmir Professional Cooks’ Association and 5th National Cooking Contest of Chefs of Izmir will take place during 2019 edition simultaneously
